SAB´ARTE on 16 September invites the general community to take part in a photo session based on the work of António Carneiro, renowned for his ability to reproduce and convey emotions in his works of art. “Expressões Vivas – Captando Sentimentos” takes place between 10am and 11.30am at the Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso Municipal Museum.

Born in Amarante, António Carneiro is one of the biggest names in painting and drawing in Portugal. In his work, he had the gift of recording the deepest emotions. In this photo session, participants are invited to transmit emotions to the photographer´s lens to obtain images that tell visually striking stories. With the professional´s guidance, the public will be challenged to relate to themselves and their surroundings, so that their emotions come through in the photographs.

SAB´ARTE´s “Expressões Vivas – Captando Sentimentos” offers na enriching and stimulating experience for those who enjoy photography or are simply curious to explore their own emotions.

As part of the programme of the educational project of the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Amarante, SAB´Arte aims to involve the community by inviting exploration, reflection, preservation and appreciation of heritage.
