This exhibition provides an informed presentation on part of the graphic work of Silva Porto (1850-1893), interpreting a set of drawings from the collection of the Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes - SNBA. Specifically, his innovative look at the territory is framed, characterized by the novelty of the air book style and the approach to the territory's identity traits: landscapes, trees, animals and people. It brings together a set of 32 drawings and a painting, promoting a contextualized reading of its genesis. | ||||

António Cardoso, Diretor... "desde que nasci..." |

This exhibition was born within the context of celebrating 10 years of Pediatric Palliative Care in Portugal, as an invitation to think about these themes through art, in particular drawing. Incorporating art into palliative care recognizes the importance of addressing patients' holistic needs, including their emotional, psychological and spiritual dimensions. Art serves as a tool to promote dignity, comfort and quality of life in difficult times, offering a meaningful and often transformative experience. |
"This is the place where the trees sing", at the Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso Municipal Museum, in Amarante, appears again as an experience and also as meditation, in a place that is made above all of the encounter between art, music and people destined for a common existence. |
Works of the Professor António Cardoso donated to the MMASC. This exhibition – which is also a tribute – presents paintings, drawings and documents, both official and personal, which will help to understand it. |
