Biography
Born in Lisbon, educated in architecture by the E.S.B.A.L., Noronha da Costa carried out activity in the fields of painting and cinema. He was one of the
painters who, in 1971, took part in the redecoration of the Lisbon café “A Brasileira”.
His work has focused on the production of objects, two-dimensional works which go beyond the limits of the painting to be put up on the room walls,
seeking to question the limits and tapping into the potential of the works of art. He also explores the perception of the works, generating complex,
ambivalent formal and complex ambivalent light effects. He even used mirrors and tainted glass and attempted holography.
