EDUARDO NERY

1938-2013

Biography
Born in Figueira da Foz, he graduated from the E.S.B.A.L. and besides painting, he carried out mural panels intended for architecture, photography
and tapestry. He studied this technique with Jean Lurçat between 1960 and 1961. His work explores matters of a visual perceptive nature, with optical
illusion and kinetism. He initially explored geometric elements, moving on to the figuration of architectures, playing with space and perspective.
Subsequently, he included in his works images of other painters, placing them in a humorous situation or with images of the consumer from a
perspective which can be connotated with “pop”.
