From October to December, SAB´Arte, an initiative of Educational Project of the Culture Department of the Municipality of Amarante, offers three cultural activities for children and families at the Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso Municipal Museum.

On the day of Augustina Bessa – Luís 100  birthday, October 15, SAB´Arte invites children aged six to 12 to “Brincar com o mundo das letras… by Augustina Bessa-Luís”. After reading an excerpt from the book “Dentes de Rato”, published in 1987, participants will be inspired by Lourença´s story to build a pencil holder. This iniciative will take place from 10 am to 11:30 am at the Albano Sardoeira Municipal Library in Amarante and at the Vila Meã Pole at the same time.

On November 19, the general community is invited to learn about the artistic movements of Modernism and some of their characteristics. In “Salpica com t(p)inta”, information will also be shared about an innovative painting technique on canvas, implemented by the artist José Dinis in his Master´s thesis.

The last SAB'Arte of 2022 takes place on December 17. Children are invited to visit the house where Teixeira de Pascoaes was born and, on their return to the ASCMM they will see the "MUSE" exhibition, which features works by different artists, created from poems by the poet from Amarantino.
