Biography
Born in Bombarral, Vasco da Conceição was a sculptor and also a medal maker which swayed between the figurative and the abstract. He graduated
in Sculpture from the E.S.B.A.L. in 1946 where he obtained the Legacy (scholarship) “Ventura Terra” in 1942. he worked with the Master Sculptors
Leopoldo de Almeida, Canto da Maia and João da Silva. In 1958 he gained a scholarship at the F.C.G. in Paris.
