Biography
Born in Setúbal, he studied at the E.S.B.A.P. and carried out activities in the areas of painting, engraving and design. Between 1958 and 1963 he had a
F.C.G. scholarship abroad.
Celestino Alves developed figurative works and landscapes, being attentive and sensitive to the values of colour and the plastic and structural component
of the analytical side of cubism.
