Biography
Born in Évora, self-taught, Palolo carried out activity in painting and in experimental cinema. He was one of the painters who, in 1971, he took part in
the redecoration of the Lisbon café “A Brasileira”.
In the 1960's his work fit in with the latest parameters of Pop Art. The motifs used denote a certain taste for the illustration of child themes, toys, also
served by strident chromatism. He also carried out various set-ups of an ironic nature. Subsequently, the geometric motifs were dominant in the same
chromatic range.
